Sleigh What? It's July!
Who says holiday shopping has to wait until December? On July 11, Ace Acres Event Venue in Clemmons is trading snowflakes for sunshine as its annual Christmas in July celebration fills the grounds with festive finds, live music, and plenty of midsummer cheer.
The one-day event, hosted by Sunny Day Markets, brings together more than 60 indoor and outdoor vendors, making it easy to browse local businesses long before the holiday rush begins. Instead of battling packed malls and last-minute shipping deadlines, shoppers can wander through handmade gifts, artisan creations, permanent jewelry, custom trucker hats, and plenty of other one-of-a-kind finds.
It's the kind of market where checking a few names off your gift list feels a lot more enjoyable when you're carrying an iced lemonade instead of wearing a winter coat. Admission and parking are free, and the first 100 shoppers through the gates will score complimentary swag bags.
Holiday Spirit, Summer Style
The shopping is only part of the attraction. Food trucks, sweet treats, kettle corn, wine, coffee, and live music from former American Idol contestant Trace Casanova keep the atmosphere lively throughout the day. Community partners and family-friendly activities round out the experience, giving visitors plenty of reasons to linger between vendor booths. Organizers have designed the event to celebrate small businesses while creating a relaxed community gathering that feels every bit as festive as a traditional holiday market, just with a much better chance of sunshine.
Summer markets have become increasingly popular across North Carolina, offering shoppers the opportunity to discover local makers, artists, and food vendors while supporting small businesses that help keep communities thriving. Christmas in July adds a playful seasonal twist that makes an ordinary Saturday shopping trip feel like its own celebration.
