Shout Out in Charlotte!

Shout Out in Charlotte!

If your April calendar needs a little direction, Charlotte SHOUT! has you covered. From April 3-19, more than 200 events will take over Uptown, creating a mix of art installationslive performancesfood experiences, and can’t-miss conversations. It’s less about planning every stop and more about letting the night build as you go.

A Festival That Moves with You

What makes it work is how easy it is to step into. You don’t need a plan. Just start with one thing and let the rest take shape as you go!

The Charlotte StrEATs Festival is one part of the larger SHOUT! lineup, bringing a steady stream of food-driven events into the mix. Dig into this festival, and you’ll find:

• StrEATs Uncorked offers a more curated, ticketed tasting experience.
 • The Tasting Tour encourages hopping between restaurants.
 • The free StrEATs Festival brings in food trucks, markets, and live demos.

At the same time, the Charlotte Ideas Festival adds a different layer, with panels and discussions focused on culture, innovation, and how cities are evolving.

All of it sits under the same umbrella. You can dip in for an hour or build a full evening around it without ever feeling like you’re in the wrong place.

Why It Works

From a business standpoint, this format does something a single-day event cannot. It keeps people in Uptown longer and brings them back more than once.

Instead of one spike in traffic, there’s a steady rhythm. Someone might come in for a panel, stay for dinner, then return later in the week for something completely different. That kind of movement creates real opportunity for local businesses to be discovered. It also makes the festival feel less like something you attend and more like something you drop into whenever it fits your schedule.

By the time April 19 rolls around, Uptown won’t look or feel quite the same. You’ll have a few new favorite spots, a couple unexpected finds, and at least one “how did we end up here?” night that worked out better than planned. That’s kind of the whole idea.
