Loud, Proud & On the Calendar!
North Carolina’s Pride Month calendar is packed this June, with festivals, marches, concerts, and community events stretching from downtown Raleigh to smaller towns that continue expanding their local celebrations every year.
In Chapel Hill, Pride Month starts early with the Pride Promenade on June 6. The community march begins at Peace & Justice Plaza before moving through downtown and ending at 140 West Franklin Plaza with live performances, local art vendors, food, and entertainment.
That same day, Belmont Pride returns with live entertainment, vendors, and community that reflects how Pride celebrations are continuing to grow well beyond North Carolina’s largest cities. June 13 brings the Greenville-Pitt County Pride Festival to eastern North Carolina, continuing the steady expansion of Pride events in areas outside the state’s largest population centers. Smaller communities across the state are building their own traditions now instead of relying entirely on larger metro events.
A week later, Wilmington’s Cape Queer Pride Fest takes over June 12–14 with performances, and community-focused events designed to connect the local LGBTQ+ community and allies throughout the Cape Fear region. Wilmington’s downtown and riverfront areas already know how to handle a festival crowd, but Pride weekend adds a different kind of energy to the city. The schedule mixes entertainment with smaller community events that encourage people to actually interact instead of simply showing up for a parade and heading home.
In Raleigh, Out! Raleigh Pride returns June 26–27 along Fayetteville Street downtown, hosted by the LGBT Center of Raleigh. Saturday’s festival includes live entertainment, vendors & art displays, a beer garden, and more in the center of downtown. Meanwhile, Fayetteville’s Pridefest 2026 arrives June 26 at the Crown Coliseum Expo Center with performances, vendors, and community events rounding out the month.
What stands out most across North Carolina this year is how community-driven these events continue to feel, even as attendance grows. Downtown districts across the state continue embracing Pride Month as part of their event calendars!
