Four Wheels, One Great Day
Jeeps on the Farm returns to Denton FarmPark on Saturday, Aug. 8, bringing Jeep enthusiasts, families, and outdoor adventurers together for a summer gathering that blends off-road culture with one of North Carolina's most distinctive rural destinations. It's a vehicle show, community event, and family outing all rolled into one.
Rows of customized Jeeps certainly grab attention, from vintage classics to trail-ready rigs built for serious off-roading. But the event has grown because it gives people a reason to slow down, compare builds, swap trail stories, and meet others who share the same hobby. Even first-time visitors quickly discover that asking about someone's Jeep usually turns into a conversation.
The setting helps. Denton FarmPark offers far more than a parking lot full of vehicles. Visitors can browse local and national Jeep vendors, grab lunch from food vendors, listen to live music inside the music hall, or take a ride on the historic Handy Dandy Railroad before heading back to admire more custom builds. Families don't have to choose between activities because there's something happening in every corner of the grounds.
Built for Adventure
Drivers looking for a challenge can test their skills in the obstacle course known as "The Pit," while friendly competitions recognize everything from craftsmanship to trail capability. Awards include:
- Best Off-Road Build
- Most Original
- Best in Show
- Best Flex
- Most Group Turnout
One of the most anticipated traditions begins after the show wraps up. At 5 p.m., registered Jeep owners leave together on the annual Jeep Ride through downtown Denton before continuing toward Uwharrie National Forest. Participants can purchase day trail passes to explore the trails before returning to the FarmPark. The ride also supports a meaningful cause, with proceeds benefiting Cool Kids Clubhouse, which serves pediatric oncology patients, survivors, and their families across North and South Carolina.
Many participants turn the event into a weekend by camping on-site, giving neighbors time to become trail buddies and first-time visitors a chance to feel like part of the community before heading home.
Admission is just $5 for adults, while children 12 and under get in free, making Jeeps on the Farm an easy and affordable summer outing. Whether visitors come to compete, browse, ride the railroad, or simply enjoy a day outdoors, they'll find an event that's built around the people as much as the vehicles.
