Pottery with a Purpose

Bookworm Pottery & Co. is a community pottery studio located in the DesignWorx makers space of The Cargo District in Wilmington, NC. We opened to the public during the Fall of 2021, and have been an active and collaborative member in the district since. Our focus is providing a fun and welcoming approach to ceramics through beginner-friendly workshops and courses, while also making a positive impact in our community through our Clay Creates Community initiative. Each year, we donate a portion of our proceeds from our themed hand-building workshops to local nonprofits to help those in need. We have worked with nonprofit organizations like All4Cats Rescue, Good Shepherd Center, WARM NC, Cape Fear Literacy Council, and more.

At the start of 2025, we opened our second location in the South Front District of Wilmington, NC called The Cozy Bookwyrm. This bright and airy studio can be found on the second floor nestled in with Yoga Salt and Cafe Mata. This space primarily focuses on pottery painting from our selection of over 100 types of premade pots, offering collaborative classes with artists such as Stained and Confused for stained glass workshops, and highlighting small local makers through a curated retail selection. The Cozy Bookwyrm gives us the opportunity to provide walk-in services in addition to our pre-scheduled services at our original location.

We are immensely grateful for the love and support we have received from our community, and look forward to many more years of sharing the joys of pottery with others. If you're in the neighborhood, we would love to have you by!
