New Bern Preservation Foundation

Established in 1972, the New Bern Preservation Foundation, a 501(c)(3), works to protect and preserve historically significant homes and buildings in and around New Bern, North Carolina.

We raise funds for specific restoration projects, partner with organizations like Preservation NC, and advocate for the protection of endangered structures.

NBPF has helped to save over 70 historic properties by purchasing and, in some cases, moving structures to prevent demolition. Each structure was resold with a preservation easement in place to ensure the historic integrity of a structure was being preserved.
